Here comes the bride

i really thought this was just another corny pinoy film. i mean, would i wait for that or even bother to really see it like how i wanted to see SATC next week? but based from my friends’ reviews, it was really really hilarious that you’ll find yourself rolling on the floor.

it took me a hard time to find someone to accompany me. i asked maze, lallie, tin, jian. tina, everyone on my facebook. i was trying sooo hard to convince tina watch it at shang or megamall but the showing times were impossible for me and she doesn’t want to spend moolah on this because she doesn’t like angelica p.. it was a whole day planning even my brods tristan and pez were willing to take me to the movie houses but i just prefer to be with my girlfriends, i just don’t think its as hit to the guys.

and so finally, after a whole day planning with thina via ym, we have decided to watch it at eastwood. and right from the start really, it didn’t fail to make me laugh. maybe because of how they deliver their lines or something. soooo GAY!!!! hahaha.

it is a story of 5 individuals who accidentally switched personalities and bodies in one magnetic field during an eclipse and they had to stay in those bodies for 2 years to wait for another eclipse. some of us are really contented with the life we have right now but most would do anything to change who they are for themselves, their families. we really can’t have it all huh? happiness is found on contentment. :)

babe, i love you

I wanna watch this because im an anne curtis fan! hehe…in spite of the recent scandal of her which happened in boracay, i still think she’s one of the finest actresses here. i never really liked sam milby though he really looks hot on those toni gonzaga flicks. i just find it weird. what’s taking him so lomg to learn tagalog? oh well.

it feels like a dingdong-marianne love story, isn’t it?

A christmas carol

my housemates and I watched this classic at the powerplant mall to get a feel of Christmas. We were supposed to watch this on IMAX for the 3D effect but the last full show for it is at 5:15pm, making it impossible to go to Mall of Asia since our dismissal from work is at 5:30pm. and good thing though, because some parts were scary.

you can never go wrong with this charles dickens classic plus the graphics were really amazing. im wondering how it couldve been if we watched it on IMAX. but never mind, i might die due to heart attack!

500 days of summer

“This is a story of boy meets girl,” the narrator says. “But you should know upfront, this is not a love story.”

a chic flick one shouldn’t miss. it may not involve happy endings and the real meaning of commitment, but at the least it tells us not to give up believing in finding our true love one day. that person may just be there all along its just that we don’t bother to take notice.

sigh!

The Proposal

i know i’m kinda far behind for posting a review for this. but what can i do? i have not been able to watch movies lately because of my prior engagements. anyways, i soooo love this movie. Ryan Reynolds was sooooo damn hot! and even if sandra bullock’s fine line are slowly showing up, she’s but one fine actress. super funny and yeah feel good! :)

short summary: Margaret (Bullock) is a slave driver editor of one publishing company in new york. Andrew (Reynolds) works as his very organized secretary who’s dreaming of being promoted to editor someday. Margaret’s visa was denied so she’ll be deported back to canada and the only way for her to secure a visa is to get married with an american citizen which turned out to be Andrew. they had to go through interviews conducted by the immigration office to prove that they have a relationship. what started put to be a deal became real of course at the end. :)

slumdog millionaire

watched this a week ago at greenbelt 3. this academy award winning film is indeed worthy.

i bet a lot has already watched this. anyways, i heard from chico and del’s morning rush that the young version of Latika was being sold by her father for $400, 000. Alledgedly, the actors didn’t get a sum of money from the movie when it became a hit. That even though they became famous instantly, their lives didn’t change.

The kids who played the main characters were not even actors in India. In all fairness, they acted soo well. but unfortunately, their fame ends there. Oh well,

confessions of a shopaholic

my most awaited movie…not that its like SATC but the popular novel pushed that excitement in me…its super funny! Isla Fisher has shown what a real shopaholic is like. she’s addicted to stores, the manequins talked to her.

candy and cesca went with me at G4 to watch this. thecinema was jampacked. and beacause it is free seating we had no choice but to sit on the secon row nearest to the screen. tsk. Anyways, its not as good as SATC but its sooo funny. Leslie Bibb who played Alicia Longlegs was also casted there. She’s one of my fave actresses back in hs when she was playing Brooke McQueen in the tv show Popular.

Not to mettion, the guys are cuties. That one who played Luke Brandon looked like Patrick Demsey. and the most touching part was when Suz saw the bride’s maid dress she gave to Becky being worn by another lady. or maybe im just a tear jerker. I’m now inspired by that lady in the green scraf. :)

movie galore

last sunday, my housemates and i watched desperadas at the walter mart cinema. well, for entertainment’s sake really it was. pero super nakakatawa. and mejo disturbing ang kissing scenes ni ogie alcasid and that guy who won the bench model search. anyways,  nakakatawa pa rin naman all in all. hehe.

then, last friday, cesca and i planned to watch the curious case of benjamin button. but since i was caught up in sort of meeting, and the movie will last like 3 hours and 20 mins accdg to greenbelt 3 cinema we decided na bedtime stories na lang. watching an adam sandler flick is kinda safe. meaning it wouldn’t be falling in the “BLAH” genre! hehe…so there, typical feel good movie.

one scene where it was raining gumballs. =)

four christmases

we had this spontaneous S day at glorietta when ate jona wanted to do some shopping for her upcomong conference. she texted us and we were giddy about watching a movie…

ate jona and i arrived at glorietta first followed by cesca, then ate vane with her friend rachel. we decided to see four christmases kasi wala ng iba…well, just for the feel of christmas…there’s no way im gonna watch quarantine because im sure that it is scary…

anyways, the movie was soooo funny. i know i hated vince vaugn at the break-up with jennifer aniston…but he’s really funny here…and yeah gives the lesson that we should get to know our patners well…(hahaha as if i have one just yet)…anyways, a good laugh…=D
