States-side products

I’ve got these when a friend returned home from the states. i sooo love everything but i love the stories more. it made me feel like i am in California also. well, i wish my travel plans for the states materialize next year since i have soooo much proving to do for work this year and gotta save up at least 2 grand for my trip even if my cousin will shoulder everything except the airfare. haaaay.

i got all these! yay!

I love these Ghirardelli Chocolates. If we have these in the Philippines, maybe i don’t really notice it. Although I think i saw some at some Duty Free Shops in Subic

I got a magnetic bookmark also for  the books i’m reading. :)

those were shark’s teeth, 6 million years old. i wonder how many more are left.

Since i got addicted to mints, i got these Orbit flavored gums! i sooo love these! :)

i also got stones from the shores of Long Beach. One of the 2 stones we believe is jade, so i gotta find some jewel poshier so i could make it a necklace pendant or something. :)

well, what can i say, i soooo love having friends travelling the world. it feels like i get to travel also through their photos and stories. :)

Astoria getaway

it was the only weekend that me and my office friends are all free for the whole year. yeah! for the whole year.so we took advantage of this one in a million chance and immediately booked a hotel room at Astoria Plaza in Ortigas. The normal rate was 5,800php/night but if the company where you work for accredited it, they will give you a huge discount. As for us, we got 25% discount putting the rates down to 4,400php/night with breakfast for 2.

If only I am rich enough, i wanted a unit there. It is such a nice place for intimate parties and get togethers.

longest friday ever

March 26 was the longest, the most tiring and yet most productive day to date for this year. i started the day by attending a meeting which ended at around lunchtime. there were so many things going on with work right now in spite of all the challenges. but we’re trying to redefine the rules and break the barriers.

by lunchtime, my hs bestfriend called and asked if we could have lunch. i sooo miss thi wonderful girl so i instatly said yes. i brought my laptop wih me and some stuff since ill have to drop by to my apartment to get clothes that ill wear for the mvp olympics.

lunch with G at Recipes, GB3

after that, i met up with lalie to get the stuff i borrowed from her and so she could drop her luggage for her iloilo trip the next day. then went back to the office just to find out that another project im handling has a problem. some people from Singapore said that the fie given to them needed to be adjusted. i dont understand the reduce TAC to 100% means so i called up and emailed our creative agencies.

At 3pm, my officemate and i went to our building’s 7th floor to change for the mvp olympics. we were product representatives/muses of PLDT. and we’re to support our main muse Faith from PLDT Global to compete against other muses from different companies under the Metro Pacific Group. we rode the Speedster Bus fro RCB going to Meralco convoyed by the 2 myDSL drift cars. we just paraded in there and took photos with different people. (Gonna get copies from our official photographer tomorrow)

by 730pm i begged off from the dinner already. i had to go to the launch of U92 radio station at silver city with my friends thina and lalie. it was star studded but those we’ve been waiting for didnt come, our camera didnt work. so we just pigged out at the free snacks, below zero beer and haagen dazs ice cream. we had some heart to heart and planning talks while enjoying our frozen yogurts from california berry.

then we hurried to eastwood to catch my bestfriend’s despidida dinner at pasto. we were an hour late for it but the important thing is we made it. some friends were there already and just made fun of each other while joking around through knockknocks and who’s theres. we’re sure to miss her especially that everyone is not used to not having her around. she’ll be away for three months for a vacation in japan.

with friends at Pasto, Eastwood

awww. gonna miss this non stop photo sesh with my bestfriend

lalie and i went back to my apartment at around 3am to get her stuff. she changed clothes quicklu so she could catch her 4:45am flight to iloilo. i borught her to the airport and slept at around 5am. geeesh.

now, define tiredness!

photographer on the cruise

for so long, King and i have not had a real conversation. maybe due to busy scheds, and more importantly, both of us have been trying to figure out what we really want in life. haha. him having that eye for opportunities (sometimes risks) is really surprising me when he’s making drastic as in very drastic decisions.

so i randomly texted people last night. asking them how they are. He got a new job. a photographer on the Princess Cruise International. it was one of his wildest dreams these days! sooo happy for him and soooo inggit. haha…he’ll get to travel for free, yet get paid for it! damn! but really, sooo proud of this friend. :)

I’m not a shrimp fan.tsk!

last friday, lexi went to makati all the way from Manila to have dinner with me and royce. or maybe she just wanted to have a break from med school. she suggested a GG themed dinner but come on, she’s wearing jeans! anyways, we decided to dine at Bubba Gump in GB3 while doing all our chica plans for that vanity shoot and updating each other about every aspect of our lives.

Lex and i were fans of the movie. Royce didnt catch it all. Their strawberry lemonade (it’s not the exact name) is soooo damn good! Also the grilled shrimp salad, and ping pong chicken. i dont really like our main course. it’s like shrimps with cream sauce…i don’t know. i’m just not a fan of “shelled” seafoods…hehehe…:)

going bar hop

so, royce and i put up our best efforts to get our sisses names on some bars’ guestlists. they prefer to go to alchemy because of proximity matters. but royce has no connection to that bar. i, having no connections to this matter, decided to follow the big city guide book which Ned has given me last christmas. paying for regular entrance will cost you 500php. so i decided to search the net and put specific tags at google and voila!

anyways, ziaan wasnt there. but we decided not to spoil the evening. we left alchemy at around 1am. got lost at McKinley Hill going to Bureau in Makati, dropped off Cesca at our apartment. Went to Bureau but Guestlist is not valid anymore. don’t want to pay 500…hehehe…so went to fiama instead. ladies’ night. spotted that girl i was with during the Flo shoot. went home at 4am.

result: a whole lotta fun + breakout galore=stop gimmicking for a few weeks. hehehe

weirdly, alchemy used to be a 3 floor bar. pero when we went there, vapor na lang open…tsk.

viva italiano!

i had dinner with my makati friends last night at aveneto in glorietta! and because they are richer than me, yey! they did not include me in the billing…haha…this is what i love  about makati.

good food is everywhere, people are generally nice, the facade is great.

i came in late (as usual). they ordered a BIG pizza, a platter of pesto sauced spag, a platter of seafood spag, a platter of lasagna, and a platter of buffalo chicken wings!!!

aveneto serves great italian food at a realtively cheap price. and the servings are really really big. it is one of my fave restos.

>>>>>>>i sooo love these people! =D

PS.

jen is MIA! busy in New York? girl, update us!

a hotelier’s point of view!

  1. don’t be rude to waiters when you order-  when you are rude to them they will spit out saliva to your orders. So be nice. It’s not like it will cost you anything right?!?

  1. give tip- whether they have service charge or not, always leave something inside the check book. Or else, they will curse you. Errr… im guilty of this. I don’t leave anything for them if they have service charge….but now, fine, I’ll leave 10 pesos??? Hehe…

  1. beer shall not bubble! To be able to achieve less bubble, the glass where to put it shall be chilled!

  1. don’t touch the  brim of the glass- when pouring wine in a glass, never ever let the bottle touch the edge to the glass. Well, I can’t do this!

Hehe…those were some of the things I’ve learned yesterday during Gie’s birthday celebration at Crowne Plaza Galleria. =D

in pain and grief.

Sheng passed away this morning. I was on my way to office when King texted me the bad news. and i never felt sooo lost in my life. i left without saying goodbye to my roomate. all i know is that i needed to talk to someone who feels the same way. i called up King, and Bang and ziaan. we were all crying on the phone. still cannot believe what happened.

i will always remeber how sheng taught me to become the best of what i can be in everything. her passion for serving and for caring for others inspired me to be the better me that i am now. she made me realize my potentials as an individual. she was the one who brought confidence in what im doing. i will always remember our prod works. i will always remember our musikamalayan days. on how we went about our misunderstandings. on how i cried like a kid when i was talking to her at the tambayan. on how she helped me with soooo many things. i will always remember on how you always understood why i cant attend our meetings. on how you supported my ideas and big events, those roses we put ribbons on. most importantly, i will always long for that unconditional love you gave us. every Sigma Alpha Nuan is sooo proud of what you have done for the sorority and for each of us as individuals. we’re full of fond memories about you sheng. you’ll always be in our hearts.

excess:

thanks to those people who came to makati med to donate blood and to those who prayed for her. we may not know all of you, and you may not know sheng at all but your willingness to help our dearest sis meant a lot for all of us. i soooo thank you. and your support will never be forgotten.

thanks to my ever supportive friends who went out of their way to see me or call me. to those who passed the blood drive campaign, i sooo thank you. we have at least extended sheng’s life.

and finally, to my ever supportive sorority sisters. i couldve never been this strong and cried my whole heart out if none of you were there. it is so nice to see a lot new faces believeing in the same principle. im so glad to have met my fellow alumnae. the unity is overwhelming and indeed moving. im just sooo proud to be a NUan. in this grief, i know i have you to lean on and to talk to, and reminisce the memories we have with sheng. thank you because we were there for each other in very rough time. i sooo love you all.
